Encryption

The Right Encryption Fit
SecuriKey includes multiple options for data encryption; you can choose the level that suits your security requirements.
For Mac OS X, SecuriKey v2.1 includes the SecuriKey Encrypted Volume - a complete 128-bit AES encrypted hard drive, fully integrated with SecuriKey's strong two-factor authentication for total security on the Mac. There is simply no stronger security available for the Mac.
You may not know it, but Windows Vista and Windows XP include a full AES data encryption solution - EFS. SecuriKey enhances this built in data encryption option, hardening the encryption that you’ve already paid for to make a robust data encryption solution that is simple and easy to use.
The best security is achieved through multiple layers of protection. SecuriKey works in combination with the Windows Encrypting File System and the SecuriKey Mac Encrypted Volume to encrypt designated contents of a hard drive with 128-bit AES data encryption (FIPS 197) and with 3rd party Whole Disk Encryption products. SecuriKey also provides active, Continuous Protection while the computer is in use. Combining AES data encryption with authentication and continuous protection provides a formidable barrier against laptop theft, data theft, identity theft, and other risks.
All the Encryption You Need
According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology, it would take trillions of calculations and many, many years of constant, unending computations to break through the encryption provided by AES using brute force with today’s computer technology. In practical terms, the weakest link in data encryption is really the decryption key, which is usually based on a password. SecuriKey addresses this risk through powerful, two-factor authentication. Plus, SecuriKey adds Continuous Protection to guard your data after it has been decrypted while the computer is in use. With SecuriKey, you can sleep well knowing your data is safe.
